4.13.1. Employment Tribunals

4.13.1.1. Improve the enforcement of Employment Rights by reducing Employment Fees to ensure they are not a barrier.


4.13.2. Self-Employment Classification

4.13.2.1. Ensure employers cannot avoid giving their staff rights or paying Minimum Wage by wrongly classifying them as self-employed workers.

4.13.2.2. A maximum of 200 hours per annum can be allocated to a single contractor before Employers National Insurance contributions become due.


4.13.3. Trade Union Laws

4.13.3.1. Protect the rights of trade union members to have their subscriptions, including political levies, deducted from their salary, and strengthen members’ political freedoms by letting them choose which political party they wish to support through such automatic payments. We will encourage wider participation in trade union ballots through electronic voting.
