4.8 Energy incl. Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Electricity and Planning

4.8.1. Geothermal Energy

4.8.1.1. The shortage in the current energy crisis will be levitated by the reintroduction of coal-fired stations – this will be a temporary measure as the shafts that will need to be constructed will then continue down to obtain geothermal energy.

4.8.1.2. Geothermal energy will be extracted from deep mine shafts and will replace the coal-fired stations whenever the technology allows.

4.8.2. Solar Energy Development

4.8.2.1. The UK space agency will also develop solar technology that will come on tap in about 15 – 20 years.  This will not only supply all the UK needs but probably most of the world.

4.8.3. The Energy System

4.8.3.1. Gas and Electricity companies to be re-nationalised.

4.8.3.2. All future nationalised energy supplies to be priced at nil profit to Domestic Customers and minimal cost to Commercial customers.

4.8.3.3.  Force energy companies to allow customers to change to any cheaper suppliers in just 24 hours and extend the principle of 'gainer led' switching where the provider organises the switching on your behalf.

4.8.3.4. Give people easier to understand information about their own energy use with appropriate privacy protections with the national roll-out of smart meters.

4.8.4. Electricity

4.8.4.1.  Work with OFGEM to ensure the cost of electricity distribution and transmission infrastructure are allocated efficiently and fairly between consumers and generators and develop more European Electricity interconnection capacity.

4.8.5.  Thorium Reactors

4.8.5.1  All future nuclear reactors to be made of Thorium, which is more abundant and less dangerous than Uranium and therefore more cost effective and safe.

4.8.6.  Alternative Energy Supplies

4.8.6.1.  Use of Biomass for heating and small-scale power generation, act to encourage the wider use of Biogas.
