7.2 Defence Planning, Programme and Resource allocation

7.2.1. Armed Services

7.2.1.1. The ‘royal’ services will be renamed as the “UK Armed Services”.  In which the famous regiment names can be kept but the responsibility structure and culture changed.

7.2.1.2. The Prime Minister will become the ‘commander-and-chief’ of the Services as in the USA constitution and ultimately responsible for their military action and deployment.

7.2.1.3. Only Parliament will be able to sanction 'War or Armed conflict' in any country with a 60% majority in parliament.

7.2.1.4. The Army will be expanded in numerical size to incorporate the social need for technical apprenticeships through educational conscriptions and a to accommodate prospective immigrants that apply for citizenship.

7.2.1.5. The Services will be required to perform extensive civil duties during peace times including rescue services and community policing and assistance in times of disaster. 

7.2.2. UK Citizenship 

7.2.2.1. Newly applied immigrants who do not qualify through the employed route will be taken into the Services and told English and a trade leading to a profession at the end of their compulsory three years service.

7.2.2.2. By the end of training, the new citizen will be able to enjoy the full benefits of being a British Citizen including Free education, healthcare and Citizens income.
